One of our key clients require a Paraplanning team leader to develop and manage the Paraplanning team and client support team leader, whilst providing ongoing support, data analysis and reports to Financial Planners in support of business retention and new business.

This is a hybrid role, in which you will be responsible for managing a team as well as carrying out the following Paraplanning duties:

  • Preparation of suitability reports and recommendations
  • Liaising with the planner to agree the best course of action
  • Liaising with administrators and planners on any required amendments
  • Ensure all recommendations meet with company standards and governance
  • Researching the most suitable product and tax wrapper
  • Using Analytics and any other available research tools
  • Completing calculations such as carry forward, CGT and bond calculations.
  • Fund Analysis
  • Preparing research on existing investment and pension funds using Analytics
  • Comparing with appropriate funds/portfolio for the clients attitude to risk

Key Team Leader responsibilities include:

  • Striving to ensure that the team meet Service Levels at all times and analyse data to anticipate any potential issues with service delivery
  • Being required to proactively address any challenges identified that have been escalated to the appropriate department
  • Managing the team effectively through the efficient and appropriate use of all resources, systems and procedures
  • Managing priorities and client/Planner demands to ensure Service Level Agreements are met across the team
  • Submitting data to allow the creation of MI to allow the voice of the client to be heard and allow business thinking and direction to be shaped
  • Helping to identify potential process improvements, allowing efficiencies to positively impact the business operation
  • Working closely with the Proposition, Change and Operations teams to design, implement and embed strategic changes
  • Working collaboratively with the Planners, Administrators and other colleagues to retain a strong focus on the provision of excellent client service
  • Managing breaches, complaints or process errors, put action plans in place and make improvements
  • Organising and running Regular Paraplanner Meetings and Ad Hoc Technical Meeting

Require Skills & Knowledge:

  • Minimum level 4 qualified in financial planning
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of IO (back office system) and Voyant
  • Sound knowledge of FE Analytics
  • Competent use of Word, Excel and Powerpoint
