Cash Management Associate

Huntswood is looking for Cash Management Associate with daily cash management experience and knowledge of bonds and investments to join a well-established long-term savings business.

As a Cash Management Associate you will have oversight of Daily Cash Management Operations - Supervising and supporting the teams' daily deliverables, including cash projections, liquidity monitoring and payment / trade processing on custodian systems.

The Cash Management Function lead activities across the business for policyholder, shareholder, and ERIP and Operational bank accounts. Your role will require you to be responsible for the execution of payments, by Chaps and BACS, and ensuring that sufficient fund is present. You will also provide operational support to our internal asset management & middle office, while providing oversight of 3rd party custodial & investment management relationships.

Role overview:
Location: Telford - Hybrid basis
Salary: Starting from £35,000

As a Cash Management Associate you will:
* Have Oversight of Daily Cash Management Operations
* Ensure all instructions and requirement asset transfers are instructed / managed efficiently and ensuring smooth settlement
* Be the SME for business queries and responding to and challenging queries from the business
* Ensure all current processes and procedures are adhered to and help develop processes where necessary to make sure the Cash Management team is functioning
* Support both external and internal stakeholders

The ideal Cash Management Associate will have:
* Working in a custodian / investment operations industry or supervising a team in an operations environment experiencing a high level of change
* Some knowledge of trade lifecycles, FX, MMD, Bond settlements, Funding, Swift messaging
* Experience investigating, correcting, and understanding root causes of reconciliation differences
* Experience of using Third-party fund administrator and custodian systems
* Excellent communication and technical skills and ability to interact with internal and external other stakeholders
* The ability to challenge current processes and controls
* Skills to be proactive and deal with a constant changing environment
