Huntswood has a great new opportunity for Customer Service Call Handlers, with proven experience of working in a similar role. This role is fully working from home. There will be shift work between the hours of 8am – 6pm, and one Saturday in every three.

Location: Working From Home
Rate: £130 per day (through HUSP umbrella company)
Duration: 4 Months initially, with possible extension.
The role is responsible for delivering an excellent customer experience while achieving contractual performance targets across customer service, sales, and quality measures.
Agents are expected to consistently meet agreed Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), including but not limited to Average Handling Time (AHT), Sales performance, Customer Satisfaction Survey results, and Quality Assurance (QA) standards.
Other responsibilities are;
- Conduct effective fact‑finding to understand customer needs and identify opportunities to upsell or recommend suitable products.
- Present relevant options confidently and close sales in line with targets and compliance requirements.
- Handle complaints empathetically, investigate root causes thoroughly, and aim for timely resolution following policy.
- Provide accurate information for general enquiries, striving for first‑contact resolution and high customer satisfaction.
The ideal Customer Service Call handler will have:
- Experience of working in a Customer Services Telephony environment, as this is a fully telephony-based role
- Proven sales experience, with the ability to work toward and achieve targets
- Demonstrated complaint handling experience, including resolving complex or sensitive customer issues
- Strong communication skills, with a clear, friendly, and confident telephone manner
- Excellent active listening skills, enabling accurate identification of customer needs and concerns
- High levels of emotional intelligence, remaining calm, empathetic, and professional in challenging situations
- Effective problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify appropriate solutions efficiently
- Strong time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities
- A target-driven mindset, comfortable working to KPIs and performance measures
- Confident objection handling, responding positively to customer resistance
- Ability to quickly develop and maintain strong product knowledge
- Strong attention to detail, ensuring accurate records and adherence to processes
