Our client, a leading provider of banking and financial services products, has an immediate opening for a Specialist Mortgage Underwriter to join the team. This position is working on a remote work from home basis after an initial onsite period of induction.
The Specialist Mortgage Underwriter is responsible for
- Reviewing and processing large and complex mortgage applications and supporting documentation
- Using your own capability to structure detailed rationale for each case
- Applying specialist data from credit reference and fraud prevention agencies and mortgage and market databases to build and package mortgage applications
- Some manual mortgage underwriting
The successful applicant will demonstrate
- Excellent knowledge and previous experience of underwriting complex Buy To Let (BTL) mortgages and corporate /portfolio lending.
- A previous lending mandate of over £1,000,000
